Can I Buy a Vowel please?

So I was thinking and talking to my girlfriend about one of my recent lessons, where I was told to sing a warm-up on my favorite vowel. Hmm I thought to myself and started to sing E. After I reached lets say the third scale degree my teacher stops me and says, "Your favorite vowel is E?". Now I was so confused. I mean is it really that uncommon for a singer to sing on an E vowel? Personally, I like it. It feels nice on my voice. Others I know love Ah or A which is nice I guess. Well this post is really to find out others opinions. Whats your favorite vowel to sing on?n A, EE, I, O, OO, and yes we can count AH ha
What a Wonderful World!
Wow, Time just goes doesn't ? Hm In real life I haven't done anything at all since my last blog. Which is majorly sad. I know. But hey what can ya do? Well anyway, I have decided that I MIGHT move in to the dorm of my beloved school. But I am not 100% sure yet. I mean I have lived with my father this past year which is convenient, and very very cheap. I didn't have to pay for anything! But, I would love the independence of living in a dorm. Though I do hate noisy people in my business. Urgh this will take for ever to actually figure out. But I must say What a wonderful World! =)

Wait, Where do you Go to school again?

WOW! Where did summer go! I can't believe that I have done so much (and still haven't posted pics urg!) But one day I will! I promise! Though it's not my fault I took them on my phone and I'm lazy. Well since my last blog I was in two Productions, Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro. I had a blast preforming these roles for the first time. It was amazing and I shall always remember the experience. Now while doing this people seem to always ask what school I go to and who is my teacher, and of course I give them my answer of going to Juilliard and what no. But they always seem to either forget or for some reason they don't see me going there and I would love to know why! ha Some say it's because I am an African-American. Though I don't think this is the case. Others say it's because they think I belong somewhere else like Curtis or Oberlin. What do I say you ask? I DON'T CARE! As long as they like the show! haha I mean why I would like to be associated with my school. I don't want to be defined by it. I mean really. What good would that do me. The "black boy from Juilliard" hmph I don't know but it's a bad rep. sorta. ha well enough of me ranting. I need to sleep. It's 1:02 a.m. for christ sakes! ha

Blossom Festival!!!
Oh my what a busy and fantastic day I had! Today was the opening of the Cleveland Orchestra's summer season at the Blossom Music Center and I am so proud that I was able to be apart of it. It was a great concert filled with magical singing and loud cannons. You know, the typical American celebratory stuff. I had a wonderful time. I got to meet up with some wonderful friends and we got to chat and catch up on what we are doing now. But the rode from Cleveland to New York and back again is so so so tiresome. I have drained out to the max, and I almost wasn't going to blog, but I said what the hay! So yea pics will be up shortly when I get a minute to rest. 1 event down 3 to go!! Can' wait!!! oh yea!
